About the Couple

We met on one sunny day in September 1999 at Bridgwater college little did we know that we would be getting married 9 years later. Those were hazy days when we had to suffer hours of lectures in English Literature, Language and Human Biology which may have led to were we are today! We stayed in touch through Uni and started dating in 2005 for a test run then happily came back together for good in 2006.

The Venue

The ceremony, reception and evening party will be held at The Woodlands Country House Hotel We chose this venue because we wanted somewhere which is small and friendly and exclusively ours for the duration of our stay. This beautiful Victorian farm house started our main theme for the wedding.

On The Day

The colour scheme for the day is green, black and white/cream. This detail has been used with the Victorian designs of William Morris printed on the save the date cards, invitations and table decorations.

Ceremony at 12.30.
Tea and cake at 4.30pm.
Jazz band kicks in at 8pm

Due to our need for order and colour co-ordination we have extended the colour scheme to our guest’s formal outfits which is, as stated before, comprised of Black, Green, white/cream in any combination. We would be immensely happy if you could satisfy our need for control by wearing something in this colour range.

As we are still in the process of setting up home we would really appreciate gift vouchers from either John Lewis or Debenhams.

More About Luke

At 23 Luke has achieved a great deal although he does not often mention his missions in Africa, his correspondence with Nelson Mandela or his single handed success in saving the blue whale.

Although he is modest about his achievements it is common knowledge that he is completing a teacher training course which he will finish this July and has already obtained a degree in Education.

His fondness of death defying stunts has led him from his usual snowboarding to Zorbing for his stag do. Photos of broken bones and bruising will be included in the updates.

More About Lucy

At a much older 24 has also accomplished much, her success in her degree and masters has led her to the formal gates of Cambridge for her PHD.

Lucy may appear studious but has often helped prop up a bar late into the night and her knife fight with 2 armed thugs is well know as she appeared on National TV announcing her war against chavish behaviour and improper decorum. Lucy often is called on for moral support by her friends and is the secret advisor of Elton John. Updates on showbiz gossip and hen do action shall also be recorded in future updates.

Are you serious about the dress code?: Yes we would like everyone to come smartly dressed and if they could wear the colours suggested in any combination we would greatly appreciate it. Saying that we don’t want to force everyone into to buy new outfits, so if you seriously have nothing to wear in that scheme, just come smart (although we may decorate you on entering).
Where Can I Stay: There is limited accomidation at the venue, however there are a number of other hotels close by.
